This is a photo of my grandfather in about 1901. I am guessing here, but I think he looks about eleven years old. Maybe twelve. Which would give the photo such a date.
While we were on the farm we found a recording of Oscar when he was 78. The Studs Terkel interview. A few scraps of it, as they discussed the depression.
